Hey, I’m Lynsey – nice to virtually meet you!

I launched MackMedia Design and Print in 2011 in a bid to spread my infectious creative design flair and to bring low cost print solutions to the people of Plymouth and surrounding areas. With hard work and dedication my business has gone from strength to strength with most of my work coming from word of mouth recommendation.

Born and bred in Plymouth, I studied Graphic Design at Plymouth College of Art and Design and Creative Media Practice at Marjon University.

I started my career working for two fantastic local magazines – The Plymouth Magazine and Oracle Publications, here I gained a wealth of experience in design, editorial writing and print management. I also have a lot of admiration and respect for the work carried out at St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth. Here I spent three years building up valuable skills in public relations, marketing, design and event organising. Finally, for five years I gained hands on experience working in a busy print room at Appleby Westward – SPAR’s wholesaler in the west country.

Throughout my 18 year career, I have demonstrated the ability to add significant value to businesses, blending passion, commitment, energy and enthusiasm. At the core I am driven by my family values: integrity, respect, loyalty, teamwork, excellence and fun.

For many years I was in employment and had my business as a sideline, however, since having my children I have worked solely as a freelancer, which gives me the freedom to balance being a Wife, Boy Mum, Dog Mum and Designer!

All design and print at MackMedia is carried out by me, this means that unlike many large design agencies, I can keep my overheads low enabling me to offer a cost-effective, personal service and most importantly build meaningful, long-term relationships with my client base.
